Saki Shimizu

I stumbled on a Jpop group named Berryz Koubou by accident some time ago. They perform songs and dance well, but what has got me hooked is how cute they are. I'm particularly biased towards their leader, Saki Shimizu, whose picture you see above. Kawaii!!!

CrunchyRoll aka AlternativeTube

AlternativeTube: That's what its name should be, but crunchyroll is fine. It is a place where you can go to get your Anime/Drama fix. Video quality is acceptable, but I guess they're starting to get bandwidth issues and now requires signing-up.

They have tons of stuff including: Mushishi , Bleach, Tsubasa Chrnonicles and even JDramas.

Mushishi

This anime series is so brilliant, it deserves its own post. Think X-files, Studio Ghibli(eg Princess Mononoke), and FFVII in one. It mixes folklore with heartwarming stories while making each episode nearly self-contained. Right now, ANN users deem it as 3rd best and I highly recommend watching it.

Vermin Vengeance

By using a 'Kaibigan' brand mouse trap (80Php) and generic peanut butter, I was able to reduce the number of critters running around the house. You may think I'm whacked in the head to be proud of my battle against mice, but I have been continuously festered by their disregard for property and food. DIE!!!

Pretty Poor

The Vocational Training School of the Our Lady of Grace Parish held the coronation night of its 'Mutya ng VTS', which is both a fund-raising activity and a beauty contest. Pics are here.

Hot TOEInty Anime!

This picture probably summarizes the spirit of the event. It's Michael V being smothered by a Shigi-shigi girl.

TOEI Philippines celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a bang. The day was filled with events for everyone like Fan Art Contests, Anime Dubbing and the anticipated Group Cosplay.

There was the group doing 'One Piece', displaying some well choreographed matches. Third place went to 'Saint Seiya', Second place to a Robot mix team and First Place unquestionably went to 'Shigi-shigi Sputnik' who impressed the crowd with their version of 'Shaider'.

'Trance' a vocal group sang 'Mayonaka no Door' which, unfortunately not a lot of people know about. I'm thankful that they performed it, but I guess I'd still prefer if Liu Yi Fei had sung it.

I added 'HOT' as a description because the venue was open-air but painfully hot/humid. A better/bigger venue or at least industrial blowers could have made it a lot more enjoyable.
